Stanford Men’s Basketball Signs with CampRegister
Top university camp signs 3-year partnership for CampRegister to provide online registration and camp management services
BOTHELL, WA – August 3, 2006 – This week, Stanford Men’s Basketball Camp entered into a three year contract with Thriva’s CampRegister division to provide online registration and camp management tools. Stanford Basketball plans to launch registration for its camps in January 2007.
Stanford Men’s Basketball switched to CampRegister for this upcoming year after using another provider for the past several years. Debby Oliver, the Camp Director for Stanford Men’s Basketball camps, went through detailed product demonstrations to compare the services. “As a camp director, CampRegister’s system was a ‘wow’ when I saw it,” said Debby.
“I took over as the Camp Director for Stanford’s Men Basketball camps this last year and used a different company for online registration technology. When I first took a look at CampRegister this year, the ease-of-use, cleaner interface, and user-friendliness was a huge improvement for both my campers and me,” she said. “It was everything I dreamt the previous service provider should have been.”
CampRegister has focused on creating compelling technology that is very simple for camps to learn and use, but still provides the flexibility and power for the varying needs of its clients. Debby believes the company’s technology is attractive: “Before, I used to have to download my information in order to manage it, nothing was connected, and I had to go to a bunch of different areas of the system to find information about a single camper. With CampRegister, all of the information about that camper was there on one screen extremely easy to use, making camp management so much easier.”
Stanford makes the fifth Pac-10 Men’s Basketball camp working with CampRegister and continues the company’s success working with University camps. “We are very happy to be working with Stanford Basketball camps. They run excellent camps at a top University,” said Cody Lamens, CampRegister’s Director of University Sales. “Our University Camp Division has become the clear leader in its space because of the technology and service we offer. Our tools make camp so easy to manage that our retention rates have been nearly perfect and new clients quickly become great references.”
Debby agreed, “I’m going to be CampRegister’s biggest advocate. I already walked other camp directors through the system and they had the same reaction as me. I’d recommend any camp director to simply take a look at the CampRegister system.”
CampRegister is the largest provider of technology for camps with an increasing number of clients joining each week. In the past year alone, nearly 400 organizations have started using the company’s services. CampRegister’s parent company, Thriva, is a leading technology provider for many types of organizations including events, conferences, camps, schools, leagues, childcare, zoos, museums, and other organizations which accept registrations.
